SUMMARY:3rd European Workshop on Biotechnology: Biobased Materials
DESCRIPTION:The European Federation of Biotechnology (EFB) and its Biobased
  Materials Division are organising the next edition of the European Worksh
 op on Biotechnology: Biobased Materials\, which will take place in Kraków
 \, Poland\, from 1–5 February 2027.\n\nThe workshop will bring together 
 researchers\, academics\, industry professionals and early-career scientis
 ts to explore the latest advances in the development and application of bi
 obased materials\, with a strong focus on biotechnology-driven solutions f
 or a sustainable future.\n\nParticipants will explore key topics shaping t
 he future of the biobased materials sector\, including:\n\n 	Biopolymers a
 nd bioplastics\n 	Biotechnology approaches for sustainable material produc
 tion\n 	Bioprocess development and optimisation\n 	Processing\, functional
 isation and applications of biobased materials\n 	Biodegradation and end-o
 f-life strategies\n 	Sustainability assessment and life cycle approaches\n
  	Circular bioeconomy concepts and industrial implementation\n 	Emerging t
 echnologies and innovative applications of biobased materials\n\nThe inter
 active format of the workshop will encourage scientific discussion\, inter
 disciplinary exchange and networking among participants from academia and 
 industry. Practical laboratory sessions will provide the opportunity to wo
 rk with state-of-the-art techniques under the guidance of internationally 
 recognised experts.\n\nThe workshop is designed for PhD students\, postdoc
 toral researchers\, academic scientists and professionals interested in bi
