Organisation
The Assembly of members, which meets at least once a year, is the highest governing body of the Spanish Society of Biotechnology (SEBiot). Its members elect the Executive Board, which manages and represents the association. The Board is made up of a President, a Vice-President, a Secretary, a Treasurer and up to a maximum of six members, and is renewed by halves every two years, as detailed in the statutes. In order to facilitate the continuity of the projects and the coordination work, the posts of President and Secretary are elected two years in advance of the actual renewal.
Many of SEBiot’s activities are organised through its sections, which are articulated as collaborative spaces for members, especially focused on the dissemination of the different fields of application of biotechnology. Likewise, in order to boost SEBiot’s activity throughout Spain, the society has representatives in the Autonomous Communities, whom you can contact for any collaboration or activity proposal in their respective territories.
